Josh Stanton Enjoys a Scorcher On and Off Track with Two Podiums at the Porsche Carrera Cup GB Round Two
Evolution Security is pleased to announce that supported driver, Josh Stanton, climbed the grid and stepped onto the podium twice at Brands Hatch during round two of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

The Brands Hatch event was especially busy, as it included the rescheduled race from round one. This gave Josh Stanton three races to compete in over the weekend.
Following an unlucky trip to Donington Park two weeks prior, Josh started the postponed race in P8, gained a position, and finished with a respectable P7.
For the second attack of the year on the Porsche Carrera Cup ProAm championship, Josh qualified 3rd, starting P3 for both races that formed round two of the 2024 series.
Despite a tough start to the season, Josh was elated to drive his JTR (Joe Tandy Racing) prepared 911 GT3 to two podium finishes. He said, “I think I’ve just about cooled down! It was a fantastic weekend at Brands Hatch for Round 2 of Carrera Cup GB!
“A strong qualifying put us 3rd in Pro-Am for Race 1, with some first-lap carnage dropping us down to 4th by the end of the first lap - we maintained position and benefited from penalties up front to finish 3rd!
“Race 2 we started 3rd and managed to progress to 2nd, we managed the cap and stayed consistent finishing the race in P2!
“After some tough luck recently, it’s great to have some strong results! I feel like we deserve these and I’m pumped to continue the momentum! See you at a Thruxton!”

Founder of Evolution Security, Richard Lambert, was in attendance and commented: “It was so exhilarating to see Josh on the podium for both races at Brands Hatch this weekend!
“In race two, Josh played the game well keeping Ollie Jackson a few seconds behind him and leaving a healthy gap to the Pro ahead enabling him to stay out of trouble (which has dogged him too many times this year) and get his 2nd place after a 3rd place in race one!

The remaining Porsche Carrera Cup calendar includes Thruxton (8th & 9th June), Croft (27th & 28th July), Knockhill (10th & 11th AUGUST), Donington Park GP (24th & 25th August), Silverstone National (21st & 22nd September), with the season finale returning to Brands Hatch GP (5th & 6th October).
